As an effort to promote the development of balanced learners, the School Counselor serves as a link between school, families and the curricular and non-curricular aspects of the programme, and maintaining a holistic balance towards addressing student needs in a confidential, empathetic empowerment service thus student can have access to learning opportunities.

The School Counselor provides a developmentally-appropriate counseling service of confidential individual or group that supports and enhances the personal growth through their social and emotional learning which could include any of the following:

  • the process of well-organized orientation and transition initiatives
  • the transition process from the MYP to the High School
  • advisory sessions on students choices and career studies in the way that relate to their further studies and prerequisites
  • supports through the personal project and community project.
